The film line can dazzle the most sober of people. Exposure to glamour and wealth changes the way that one thinks. If a person finds overnight super success, the chances are that he or she may become arrogant and think no end of oneself.
This is especially true of people who come from a non film background. However even those that come from old film families sometimes fall prey to such arrogance. One such Hindi movie star for example now admits that after the success of his debut movie he had become completely obnoxious on account of the huge amount of money he had begun to make. There were others like him from old film families who were arrogant and badly behaved in his youth.
Most of these people became mellow in their middle age with many actually turned to spirituality. The ups and downs of life made them ultimately see the error of their ways. The thing about glamour is that it is a very hollow and ephemeral world. People don’t genuinely care for one another. Competition is the name of the game.
You are as good as your last Friday release. In a scenario as cut-throat as this, it is imperative that one devise a coping strategy. Meditation is a great way to cope with the vicissitudes of the film world. Though meditation is an Eastern practice a lot of western celebrities practice it regularly and benefit from it.
